This painting depicts the ideal scenario of Lord Ram’s court with his courtiers after he returns from exile of 14 years. He is seated beside his queen Sita who he later abandons after rescuing her from the demon king Ravana. “Pattachitra” is the traditional art of Odisha intricately done on silk cloth and depicts ancient folk and mythological tales of India.
